I think we can all agree that the past few years have brought big changes to the world. My little world is no different. But before I get into that, I want to say THANK YOU.
Whether you hired me as an interior designer, took advantage of my furniture restoration skills, purchased a refinished piece of furniture, or just followed me on social media, I appreciate your support. It honestly means everything to me. The saying goes that when you buy from a small business, an actual person does a little happy dance. Thanks to you, I've done quite a few happy dances!
Now, in 2022, I feel it's a time for change. I've found over the past two years that my joy really comes from working with furniture, more than doing interior design. So, with that in mind, and after nearly two decades as Hudson Smith Interiors, I've decided to pull back from the design work and focus completely on restoring and refinishing furniture.
Rebranding and restructuring a business takes time, and I hope you'll all bear with me through this process. For those of you who have design projects currently in the works or in the proposal stage, I will, of course, continue your projects through to completion. And you will still be able to contact me through the same email and phone number, as well as Instagram/Facebook Messenger.
For those of you who are new to Hudson Smith, or aren't aware of my furniture work, welcome to my new world! I invite you to check out the Bittersweet Lane website, Facebook page, and Instagram page. You can also find my furniture and other handcrafted work at my retail store, Orchid & Elm, in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. I look forward to continuing to bring beauty to your homes and new life to your treasured heirlooms!
